Perspective - 3D Boxes

We learned to draw three dimensional boxes using one-point linear perspective. Parallel lines appear to converge and disappear at the vanishing point. The 4th graders also created a color wheel out of the boxes.

Rodolfo Morales

We made torn paper collages in the style of Mexican artist Rodolfo Morales after reading the book Angel's Kite. Our collages show the season of our birthdays.

Jim Dine Hearts

We are making large chalk hearts in the style of contemporary artist Jim Dine.

Penguins and Polar Bears

We mixed cool colors of paint with white to create tints. The cool colors provided a great winter landscape for our polar bear and penguin collages.

Laurel Burch Cats

We created cats in the fun, folk art style of Laurel Burch. We filled our cats with different line designs and patterns.

Wayne Thiebaud

4th Graders are working on picture of their favorite desserts after being inspiried by artist Wayne Thiebaud.
